Tacoma Council PTA has been providing programs and services to support Tacoma area local unit PTAs since 1911.  It is the duty of all local unit presidents to send two voting delegates to Council meetings.  However, all PTA members are welcome and urged to attend.  Find out what Council does and take advantage of networking opportunities at Council meetings.  For meeting schedule, see "Meetings."

Important. Time Sensitive.
We're now at PTA year-end; time to complete the PT Avenue database transition, as follows:
Enter your 2016-2017 officers into PT Avenue. The
brief instructions here describe how to enter officers into PT Avenue. Be sure to enter a working email address for every officer.

Remember, June 30 is the due date for PTAs with the membership only version of PT Avenue to complete the end of year process in PT Avenue. Next week, WSPTA staff will begin doing the end-of-year process for PTAs who have not done so themselves, and each PTA will be invoiced $25 for this service. ​
After your PTA has completed the end-of-year process your PTA can begin entering 2016-2017 memberships, whenever your PTA is ready.

all-city reflections awards night     Thursday January 21

Thursday, January 21st 5-7:30 p.m. 
LOCATION: Columbia Bank Lobby & Kopp Gallery
in William W. Philip Hall UW-Tacoma | 1918 Pacific Avenue

This is a come and go event. Special Dignitaries will pop in during the event times to meet with the students and their families and take photos as requested. Awards will be given out to students that night as they arrive. Artwork that is not going onto the state competition will be given back to each school’s Reflection Coordinator at the end
of the night.
This is the awards and recognition event for the students who had entries at the Council level.  The entries will be on display for viewing.  The entries which Council will be sending forward to the State Competition will be announced this evening.  This evening is also Tacoma's 4th Thursday Art Walk Event.  The local downtown museums have free admission, so we hope you will take advantage of this; and hope the public will stop and see our art too.

As a reminder, for a unit to be in good standing with their training, at least one board member needs to attend PTA and the Law yearly.
We have PTA and the Law rescheduled for Monday, January 26th at Pioneer Middle School in Dupont.  Registration is from 5:30 to 6 with class starting at 6 p.m.   You can register at Washington State PTA website under Region 10 or contact me via email or at 253-759-1527.    There will also be a PTA and the Law, Tuesday February 3 at the Gig Harbor Boys and Girls Club starting at 6 p.m.

Tacoma pta reflections

Membership Service fee remittance process

Thank you so much for using our membership database to enter your new members for the 2014-2015 year and for the work you do for the children of your PTA and Washington State!  Each month your unit will receive via email a bill (or invoice) which includes the per member dues for national, state, and council (if applicable.)
